Community Overview

This overview has been prepared with the intent to give an understanding and vision of the Timeline 2012 community project. It is important to note that this is not intended to be the conclusion on what will actually be created as that is based on the co-creative efforts of all those who participate in the community planning and development.

This overview is divided into three phases;

Phase I: Establish Committees

Phase II: Planning and Development

Phase III: Community Living

All phases embody a spiritual consciousness in regards to lifestyle, working, and mutual growth. This means living in an environment that is drug, substance, and stimulant free. There is no alcohol, tobacco, casual drugs, caffeine, meat, etc.

It is important to note that this community development project and any structural facilities that entails are being designed and managed with the greatest of care and concern for all those who become members. This means that all structures conform to safety standards and are designed with engineering support to ensure they are safe for the periods before, during, and after 2012.

Phase I: Establish Committees

In order to begin the planning and development (Phase II), Timeline 2012 has established the community project committees. These committees are responsible for research and acquisition of products and services to support the development process, creation of purchase item lists, and implementation of the community development plan.

Phase I includes the following:

  1. Acquisition of a facility in Australia which is large enough to support the living and working environment for the planning and development efforts.
  2. Interview and selection of the core committee members
  3. Committee members are relocated to the planning and development facility.
  4. These members and/or their families embody the beliefs and lifestyle that are the foundation for the entire Timeline 2012 community project.
  5. Life at this facility is a communal environment with everyone living and working under the same roof.
  6. These members are assigned to various committees based on their interest and expertise in the planning and development process.
  7. The committees establish all plans and guidelines for the community including: a development plan; lists of items to be purchased; and are ultimately responsible for overseeing and implementing the development plan.
  8. The planning phase for the Timeline 2012 community is projected to be completed in mid 2010.

Phase II: Planning and Development

The planning and development phase is coordinated and managed by the Timeline 2012 community committees. Each committee has defined areas of responsibility within the scope of the community project. The project management committee oversees all other committees to ensure the goals and scheduling of the project are met.

The Timeline 2012 community project is being established to operate as an off-the-grid, self-sustainable, communal living environment. Once created and operating efficiently, this community will have little or no contact with the surrounding cities or communities until sometime after 2012.

Due to the cataclysmic weather and geophysical changes between now and 2012, the community facilities are primarily being developed for subterranean living. After 2012, structures will be built to support above ground living, as appropriate.

As some development operations are being run concurrently with the community planning, it is projected that the combined planning and development phase will be completed in 2011. The Timeline 2012 community project is planned to be fully operational, off-the-grid, and proven self-sustainable for at least eighteen months prior to the cataclysmic events of 2012.

Project Management: The Timeline 2012 community project is operating as a business entity with the greatest care for budgeting, logistics, and management. Project management consists of committee overview, project scheduling, and site management.

Financial Management: Financial management of the Timeline 2012 community project, as with any business venture, is at the heart of our success. There is no room for error when managing the finances for such a project. Timeline 2012 has enlisted members with success in business operations and financing to ensure the project achieves the desired goals.

Infrastructure: Prior to 2012, most structures are being built and prepared for subterranean living as above ground facilities may be destroyed or damaged during the events surrounding 2012.

The subterranean structure is being created by interconnecting large prefabricated containers to form a square or rectangular matrix. Each container or group of containers is designated to support the various departmental needs of the community including: storage, sleeping, dining, food preparation, education, health services, spiritual and fitness, common area, cleaning, and maintenance. The common or group meeting area is central to the facility with all the other areas organized around the perimeter.

Plans are being developed and materials being acquired for above ground structures after 2012. These structures conform to eco friendly materials, building techniques, and sustainability.

Construction: Initial construction consists of above and below ground facilities. The above ground facilities are used for construction staff housing and other needs that support the community project pre and post development. The subterranean construction incorporates a modular design in order to accommodate any future expansion of the facility. The subterranean containers are equipped with lighting, water, sewage, air circulation and filtration, as needed for the designation use of the container. The containers are interconnected to form a contiguous structure with passage ways cut to allow access between containers.

Timeline 2012 is building an underground facility that is designed to withstand the potential cataclysmic events surrounding 2012. As such, there are various factors that must be considered including: time to completion, safety, modularity, and design efficiency. It’s also understood that the subterranean construction is for temporary use until sometime after 2012, at which time, it may no longer be needed or used depending on the circumstances at that time. Designs using alternative building materials and methods have been considered and may be implemented to achieve the most eco-friendly construction.

Safety is of the utmost importance and all construction for this subterranean community is being engineered with the advice and management of industry professionals. These engineers prepare all the necessary construction drawings and load bearing calculations to determine how much dirt is needed to cover the containers and whether bearing reinforcements are needed inside the structure.

Transportation: Transportation for the community is being managed to reduce the unnecessary accumulation of individual member vehicles and to select suitable vehicles for the purposes of construction, member relocation, and post 2012 sustainability. The transportation committee is responsible for determining vehicle requirements as they relate to the Timeline 2012 community project.

Once a person becomes a member of the Timeline 2012 community, the necessity for a personal vehicle should be minimal. Helping members reduce their dependency on personal vehicles is part of the transition to off-the-grid living. People may believe they understand what off-the-grid living means, but the reality may be quite a shock for a population that has become addicted to unnecessary travel for the sake of convenience. Obviously, the remoteness of the Timeline 2012 community project naturally limits a members transportation options, however, the goal is to help members transition away from the need for a personal vehicle prior to moving into the community.

As with many topics related to the Timeline 2012 community project, there is a transition period of up to one year while the community project is under development. This period of time provides members with an opportunity to utilize their vehicle while eliminating their dependency.

Once a member relocates to the community project, there should be no need for ownership of a personal vehicle. It’s recommended that all members either sell their vehicle or leave it with friends before relocating to the Timeline 2012 community project. Any vehicle driven to the planning and development facility or the orientation facility by a member may be put to use for the greater good of the community project at the discretion of the transportation committee. Depending on the type of vehicle, the transportation committee determines whether a member vehicle is appropriate for use within the community project.

During the planning and development phase, a vehicle may be used for transportation of members, meeting with vendors, and/or visiting the community project location for delivery of construction personnel, project management, or equipment. Once the planning and development phase is completed, no member vehicles will be used for transportation to and from the community project.

Once a member arrives at the designated and nearest city to the Timeline 2012 community project, the transportation committee can arrange for all transportation needs to and from the Timeline 2012 facilities. Further transportation instructions are provided once a person is accepted as a member, contractor, or volunteer of the Timeline 2012 community.

Phase III: Community Living

The Timeline 2012 community project is about the health and sustainability of the mind, body, and spirit and as such is devoted to helping its members achieve the highest levels of consciously awakened states. To do this, we only ask that you be willing to release any blocks and open up to your full potential. The Timeline 2012 community project has been designed to help both the individual and community achieve their greatest good and highest potential, while shedding those belief systems that have failed and don’t serve humanity and spiritual growth.

The world as we know it of material consumption, society driven self-isolation, co-dependency, and myopic individual goals and ambitions is over. This is no longer a time of “what’s mine is mine and what’s your is yours”. It is now a time of “what’s mine is yours and what’s yours is ours”. The period of conscious acceleration and co-creation is upon us, and it’s now time to combine our consciousness and resources in order to co-create and manifest the world we choose to live in.

The Timeline 2012 community project is taking the concept of sustainable community living to a level of understanding and implementation that is harmonic with humanity, Earth, and the universe. If there is a common goal of the Timeline 2012 community project, that goal is to nurture the concepts of humanity and spirituality.

What is sustainable community living?

To Timeline 2012, “sustainable community living” is not simply a concept, but a lifestyle that embodies physical health, spiritual growth, acceleration, harmonization, and common goals for the greatest good of each and every man, woman, and child. This community is not based on ego or pride, but rather humility and service to others. It’s based on the desire to live and commune in peace and harmony with each other, the environment, and the universe.

This doesn’t mean a candy coated community without challenges. This community is about continual growth and becoming more tomorrow than we are today as individuals and as a community. At the community’s core is the acceptance of the spirit in all things. This core spiritual understanding means that we support each other through our issues and to overcome those issues.

The Timeline 2012 community project will do everything in its ability to assist its members to overcome any issues that may arise related to the evolution of the mind, body, and spirit. This is a supportive effort for those who are ready for transformation and we sincerely hope that all members are willing and open to transformation. This transformation may take the form of food and emotional addictions, but is not limited in scope or breadth.

This requires support of the individual and community at all levels with assistance from programs, groups, and individuals. We’ve all heard of the concept “no child left behind”. In the Timeline 2012 community project, we believe in the concept “nobody is left behind”. As we move rapidly into higher levels of co-creation, this community project becomes increasingly about the collective consciousness.

Monetary System: There is no monetary system at all within the Timeline 2012 community project. This also means no barter and no trade. Timeline 2012 believes that any form of monetary system eventually leads right back to the world of material possession and consumption by the inevitability that some people will become wealthier than others as their services are considered more valuable than others.

This community project is not about service to self or wanting more than another person in the community. This is not about valuing one person’s services higher than another person’s or not having access to services because you don’t have anything to barter with. This community is about service to others in the highest form by providing services without the need to be compensated by any means except the privilege to participate in such a unique community.

The Timeline 2012 community project operates on the notion that its members are in alignment with the concepts of a simplified lifestyle and living in harmony with natural laws. Members of the community choose to be part of this community because they have let go of ego and the need to be better or wealthier than another person. They willingly provide their knowledge and service with humility for the betterment of each individual and the community at large.

Living Quarters: Due to the subterranean construction prior to 2012, the Timeline 2012 community project embodies the true nature of community and communal living. Due to the nature of the construction, member living and sleeping quarters will primarily be to accommodate sleeping and storage of clothes and other small personal items. All other areas of the community project are for specific functions to support the operation and lifestyle of the collective.

The member living quarters are located in close proximity to one another to enhance the community living experience. The living quarters are mini-units arranged in enclosed bunk fashion to accommodate maximum space utilization. Each living quarter is equipped with individual lighting, bed, and solid walls for privacy. Living quarters will be assigned to each member and the number of units assigned will depend on the number and ages of people in the member family.

Bathrooms, sinks, and showers will either be located in each designated living area or within close proximity to the living quarters. Clothes and personal items will be limited by weight, size, or volume.

Food - Diet: Food and dietary needs have been given great consideration as related to health, energy and resource use, production, storage, and distribution. Due to the basic desire to serve the collective in an off-the-grid, sustainable community, it has been determined that food and dietary needs will be implemented in a two part approach.

Part one will be implemented during planning and development (Phase II) of the Timeline 2012 community project while part two will be implemented as part of the community living (Phase III).

Due to the known and anticipated availability of resources, part one includes a vegan diet consisting of the consumption of mainly raw vegan food and some cooked food such as amaranth or quinoa to help individuals transition softly out of the cooked food addictions. Due to a variety of factors that are listed below, part two includes a vegan diet consisting of the consumption of raw vegan foods only. Since community living (Phase III) is only available to member access sometime after its completion in late 2010 or early 2011, those who may have potential issues with a raw vegan diet have time to work with the Timeline 2012 orientation team or by themselves to address and resolve such issues. Here are some links that will help you with this process.

Why a raw vegan diet?

If you are not currently eating raw vegan foods then this concept may be unfamiliar to you. For some, the questions and comments revolving around a raw vegan diet may include:

  1. We need the protein in meat to stay healthy
  2. How can I get enough protein from vegetables?
  3. I never get full eating vegetables
  4. Vegetarian foods have no taste
  5. My “body constitution” requires that I eat cooked vegan food and no raw food
  6. I tried a raw diet before and it didn’t work with my metabolism, etc.
Click here to watch a video interview with Dr. Brian Clement answering these specific questions.…

The truth is that all of these comments are myths based on a society that has been brainwashed into an unsustainable system filled with addictive habits on foods with little or no nutritional value. Timeline 2012 is not interested in maintaining old thought forms or unsustainable paradigms. Timeline 2012 is about physical healing, being consciously awake, and acceleration of growth and in order to achieve this goal, the body must also be supported and nurtured.

There should be absolutely no need to discuss the consumption of meat to whomever is reading this overview. Besides the choice of embracing non-violence, one of the facts about meat is that it takes 100 pounds of grain to produce 1 pound of meat. Most meat is so full of antibiotics and hormones that our body’s immune systems have been broken down and we are no longer able to resist disease. That once you cook meat, there is virtually no nutrition left in it. If you are not willing to release the addiction and myth related to eating meat, then the Timeline 2012 community project is not a good fit.

On the other hand, similar statements can be made about the vegetables that pass for food in this world. They are grown on depleted soils, pumped full of chemicals to keep bugs away, pumped full of more chemical to keep them fresh, and now have virtually no nutrition either raw or cooked and often GMO (Genetically Modified Organism).

During planning and development (Phase II) of the Timeline 2012 community project, members can eat some vegan non-processed cooked food along with raw meals with the understanding that this period, of about eighteen months, is an opportunity to get their bodies adjusted to eating a diet consisting of only raw vegan foods. This transition period applies to both committee members who are already part of the community project, as well as those members who are helping or waiting for the community project development to be completed.

Timeline 2012 understands there may be resistance in the transition to a raw vegan diet on the physical or conscious levels. To assist all members in this transition, Timeline 2012 has assembled a staff of health and nutrition experts to provide support and guidance through this transition. There is also individual support from nutritional experts to address and resolve food sensitivities and digestive issues.

Food - Production: With a diet consisting of raw vegan, food production for the Timeline 2012 community project can be simply defined as the growing of organic fruits and vegetables. The more complicated version is the growing of an assortment of fruits and vegetables that are harmonious with the human anatomy and the concept of raw vegan foods.

As with most activities of the Timeline 2012 community project, there are two phases of food production; one phase being the period prior to the cataclysmic events of 2012 and the other being the period during and immediately following the events of 2012.

Prior to the 2012 events, food production includes both above ground and below ground operations. Above ground food production is being used to support the members participating in the community planning and development, to increase long-term food stores, as well as to gain a greater understanding of food production techniques at the community project location.

Above and below ground food production are utilized prior to 2012 while the below ground operations are expanding to support full production and sustainability. As we get closer to 2012, food production will be increasingly moved to below ground facilities where the Timeline 2012 community will be able to produce all of its food needs well before the cataclysmic events of 2012.

Several sustainable eco-friendly food production methods have been considered as they relate to nutrition, space, and resources including hydroponics, companion planting, bio-dynamic farming, organic, along with the techniques and philosophy of permaculture.

Dining: Meals are prepared and served in a communal buffet manner. This means a cafeteria style environment that is open for predefined periods of the day. A Timeline 2012 committee is designated to oversee all food preparation, meal planning, and meal delivery. Menu items may vary daily. Personal or individual food preparation is not allowed. Most genuine dietary needs will be accommodated as some members complete their transition to a raw vegan diet.

Work Assignments: The embodiment of work in the Timeline 2012 community project involves lifestyle balance. This means that each member has a full-time work assignment in support of the community needs while participating in spiritual daily scheduled activities. This ensures that every member has equal opportunity for personal growth in the new and accelerated consciousness. Through the member application and orientation process, a member’s skills, work experience, and interests are evaluated. The membership committee then discusses the work assignment options with the member to mutually determine the member’s contribution to the community. These work assignments are not intended to be permanent.

The Timeline 2012 community project is about balance and transformation as it applies to the individual member and the community. It’s important that members have a well rounded experience when it comes to work assignments and participation in the community. The intent is that each member has the opportunity to participate in individual tasks and group tasks.

Communications: If a member understands the Timeline 2012 initiative, then they may also understand what off-the-grid living really means as it applies to the period between now and 2012. One thing it doesn’t mean is using technology in order to maintain the dependencies that we have become accustomed to.

Helping members reduce and eventually eliminate the dependency on cell phones and other technology is part of the transition to off-the-grid living. People may believe they understand what off-the-grid living means, but the reality may be quite a shock for a population that has become addicted to technology, instant gratification, instant communication, and compromising values for convenience. Obviously, the remoteness of the Timeline 2012 community project naturally limits communication with the outside world, however, the goal is to help members transition away from technologies prior to moving into the community.

The Timeline 2012 community project is preparing for the greatest leap in conscious evolution and the most cataclysmic events in recorded history. These events will render most technology useless and ultimately obsolete. Those who choose to become part of the community project will have no problem letting go of technology that is accustomed to being used for pleasure or business. Once a member has relocated to the community, there should be little or no need for access to such technologies.

As with many topics related to the Timeline 2012 community project, there is a transition period of up to one year while the community project is under development. This period of time provides members with an opportunity to utilize there technological devices while eliminating their dependency.

All internal and external communications are managed by a committee. This committee is responsible for the communication techniques and technology used for remote planning of the community, on-site development, and internal needs post-development. They are also responsible for all communications outside of the community project including: internet access, mobile phone usage, and vendor contact. Committee members will have greater access to external communications due to their need to contact vendors, coordinate with new members, and handle logistics for the community planning and development efforts. This committee will authorize access to outside communication on an as needed basis for the remaining members. Some authorized communications may include: family and friends who need assistance, support of new members, and ongoing support of the community development process.

Pets: Due to a variety of considerations, no “personal” pets are allowed in the Timeline 2012 community. Those who have a clear understanding of the events surrounding 2012 and the community living arrangements can certainly appreciate this delicate decision.

Timeline 2012 understands that pets can be both healing and comforting to people and especially children. We also believe that maintaining a close relationship with the animal kingdom can provide valuable lessons and reflections on human existence. For these reasons, community pets, not personal pets, are being considered to support the human-animal relationship.

Community Policies & Guidelines: Why does the Timeline 2012 community project have policies and guidelines? In fact, there would be no need for policies and guidelines if everyone was capable of living a life of total respect for others, total accountability, and in complete alignment with natural and universal laws.

The policies and guidelines provide a basis of understanding for how the community will function as a social. It provides the foundation of co-existence and creates a comfort in knowing that each and every individual has agreed and committed to a common concept of living. This foundation helps to ensure that the community project can accomplish its social goals. Each member will receive a handbook during orientation and will be required to sign the community agreement and commitment statement.

Membership: Membership in the Timeline 2012 community project is not taken lightly and should not be taken for granted. The Timeline 2012 community project is an endeavor to help as many people as possible with the provision that these people are consciously awake and on a continuous path of self-realization and self-improvement.

In order to achieve the highest probability of social and community success, the Timeline 2012 membership committee has created an Member Application form and screening process for new members. These tools have been designed to provide a detailed understanding of where an applicant is in their life, and to give applicants the ability to express their views about life, spirit, and material possession. The membership committee thoroughly reviews each and every application, along with the supporting documentation before membership in the Timeline 2012 community project is approved.

Membership screening is a fundamental step in assuring the community operates in the spirit of the Timeline 2012 vision. Membership is as much about a willingness to release and break through old patterns of consciousness as it is about how someone can contribute to the community. Membership is an equal opportunity and is not based on any idea of quotas. Timeline 2012 does not discriminate based on race, color, religious creed, spiritual belief, ancestry, national origin, age or sex.

Once an applicant is approved for member status, they must go to community orientation prior to being given work assignments within the community project. Community orientation consists of a personal evaluation of skills to determine the optimal work assignments, a review of the community policies and guidelines, an evaluation of personal possessions, relinquishing of any remaining electronic and telecommunication devices, and evaluation and education on the community raw vegan diet.

Membership in the Timeline 2012 community project does not ensure that friends and family can automatically become members. Every application is considered with these factors in mind, but the community comes first when considering membership.

Spiritual: The Timeline 2012 community project is based on the concept that its members are consciously awake, and as such, there is an emphasis on continued spiritual evolution within the community project and its members. To support this evolution, members will be able to participate in a variety of group and individual spiritual practices including: energy work, conscious co-creation, meditation, chant, yoga, music, and dance.

A variety of spiritual practices are scheduled daily for members to attend at their convenience. Members are encouraged to participate in a variety of group practices and programs that are offered by the community project in order to take advantage of the greatest opportunities to accelerate their person healing and growth.

Education: Education is a lifetime experience for those who are consciously awake and on the path of conscious acceleration, spiritual growth, and self-healing. As the Timeline 2012 community project embodies all of these concepts and more, we consider education to be of paramount importance at any age level.

The goal of the community project is to create an education system that promotes a combination of spiritual and practical education for adults and children of all ages. The curriculum for these educational programs is being developed and can be provided in greater detail at a later date.

Health Services: The Timeline 2012 community project supports health and healing on all levels and understands that the physical body is the temple of Divine Consciousness. As such, physical health is paramount and has a direct relationship to all other forms of health. Besides a healthy raw vegan diet and regular exercise, physical healing begins with an understanding of the mind-body-spirit relationship. This means the Timeline 2012 community project promotes health of the physical body from the inside out.

The health services committee combines the philosophies of mind-body-spirit, holistic, alternative, and medical practices as needed. Members will have access to emergency medical and dental assistance within the community project as needed; however, the all treatments are based on the holistic and alternative practices. Timeline 2012 understands that medical and dental services are fast becoming archaic and unnecessary, yet it is prudent to have access to such emergency services until it is certain they are no longer needed.

Artisan: Timeline 2012 understands the importance of arts and crafts for the health and well being of the community project. This includes activities to nourish member creative such as painting, sculpting, music, and dancing. In the area of man-made essentials, these activities include pottery, clothes, and woodworking.

The community project has a variety or arts and craft programs to stimulate personal and community creativity. While some of these programs are extra-curricular and voluntary in nature, others provide essential products for the operation of the community and are part of the work assignments.

Emergency Plan: As a proactive and consciously awakened community, Timeline 2012 is preparing for probably the greatest catastrophic events in recorded history. Although this preparation really constitutes an emergency plan for the events related to 2012, it’s still important to be vigilant with emergency plans as they relate to the community project.

With an off-the-grid self-sustaining community, the concept of emergency planning takes on a whole new level of coordination and planning. After all, we won’t be able to call the fire department or other services that make life in current society seem convenient. Living off-the-grid also means off-the-grid emergency planning.

The community project has created emergency plans for a variety of unlikely, yet possible, scenarios to make sure the community provides the safest environment to its members. Members participate in emergency plan training and run-throughs.
